Super Starr

He is really a very private person, but I'm letting the world know about him anyway. He is one very remarkable person, who has done a lot of very interesting things in his life. To pass on a couple of those things: He has traveled through Europe, where he learned and saw many different things. I also think he has visited other continents. Somewhere along the line he was a lifeguard here in Southern California, married a wonderful woman, and raised a lovely daughter. He plays guitar and has pretty much mastered the navigation of the Internet. On occasion he rebuilds patios and ads rooms to homes. He is very sociable, friendly, and caring.

Jerry also has been practicing Judo since most of us were gleams in our parent’s eyes. He knows so many useful moves, subtle, and tricky moves. Now he is learning Aikido. His doctor is very happy about this, and so are we. As well as being a good student, his is one of our best teachers. He is our "don't hurt me" kid, who could put some very serious hurt on you. He makes coming to class inspirational. He can kick ass and still be such a loving and caring person who would rather rationalize with an aggressor than just merely kick butt. He is a true martial artist.

My grandmother once said to me “Always keep your mind open - never stop learning.” Jerry is still learning and has the curiosity of a grade school student. Jerry is the ying & yang - old enough to be patient and young enough to act quickly when needed. We are very lucky to have Jerry as a student at Sanbukan.
